BeyondQubit: quantum information processing with qudits

A four-day workshop where experimental and theoretical researchers can share ideas and recent progress on the development of advanced quantum-information architectures, methods, and algorithms.
Trento

We are pleased to announce the International Workshop BeyondQubit: quantum-information processing with qudits , which will take place from 7-10 July 2025 in Trento (Italy). BeyondQubit is organized by the EU-NeQST consortium and hosted by the University of Trento.

The conference brings together experimental and theoretical researchers working on the development of advanced quantum-information architectures, methods, and algorithms, including:

  • qudit devices and platform
  • benchmarking and validation
  • quantum simulation protocols
  • quantum optimization

Keynote talks will introduce the novel opportunities and main challenges of quantum-information processing, while Invited and contributed talks are dedicated to recent progress in this field. Ample discussion time and a poster session will foster collaboration and idea exchange among the participants. The conference has an exciting list of keynote and invited speakers working on different aspects of quantum information science:

Keynote speakers include:

  • Marcus Huber, TU Wien (AUT)
  • Mehul Malik, Heriot-Watt University (UK)
  • Andrea Morello,University of New South Wales (AU)
  • Christine Muschik, University of Waterloo (CA)
  • Irfan Siddiqi, University of California, Berkeley (US)
  • Tamás Vértesi, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HU)
  • Hao Wang, Leiden University (NL)

Call for Poster Abstracts and registration

Participants are invited to submit abstracts on research and findings related to the abovementioned topics. Abstract submissions for proposed poster presentations are possible here .

Abstract submission is now open until March 21st 2025. The Scientific Committee will review submitted abstracts and select up to 9 for oral contributions. When submitting your abstract, please indicate whether you would like your proposal evaluated for an upgrade to a contributed talk.

Following the abstract review, registration will open around mid-April, until 23rd May 2025.

Early-career scholars and postgraduate researchers are encouraged to apply for an oral or poster contribution.
