Spotlight on great EU-funded innovations

Qdit applications are finally taking shape! We are very happy and excited that the EU Innovation Radar highlights five NeQST project landmarks in qudit quantum computing research as great EU-funded innovations.

  1. Certification of qudit devices https://innovation-radar.ec.europa.eu/innovation/56293 : qudit devices and algorithms require a novel approach for benchmarking. Our research represents the first important step towards methods to systematically assess their reliability.

  2. A Framework For Mixed-Dimensional Qudit Quantum Computing https://innovation-radar.ec.europa.eu/innovation/56294 : an efficient and flexible interface is fundamental to designing qudit algorithms. The possibility of having mixed-dimensional encoding allows for leveraging the advantages offered by qudits.

  3. Quantum algorithm for bi-directional charging optimization with multiple conflicting objectives https://innovation-radar.ec.europa.eu/innovation/56290 : efficiently charging a large number of electric vehicles will become a relevant challenge for green mobility. Developing quantum computing today will help us face the problems of tomorrow.

  4. Quantum-inspired classical algorithm for integer optimization https://innovation-radar.ec.europa.eu/innovation/56299 : qudit devices and quantum algorithms provide us hints to develop more efficient classical methods to tackle long-standing complex optimization problems.

  5. Systems and methods for stochastic and robust optimization of industrial problems using quantum computing https://innovation-radar.ec.europa.eu/innovation/56297 : people in NeQST are leveraging the transformative power of quantum computing to deliver innovative and scalable solutions for industrial applications.

Many thanks to all our partners and the people who collaborate on the NeQST project!
